A nasty accident on Highway 6 this afternoon sent three people to the hospital, including two crew members on a Cy Fair Volunteer Fire Department ambulance that was responding to a call. According to Channel 11 News' report, the ambulance was northbound on Highway 6 when a white sedan turned in front of the ambulance. The T-bone collision caused significant damage to the front of the ambulance and massive damage to the passenger side of the white sedan. The sedan's driver was taken to the hospital where he was in critical condition. The paramedics in the ambulance were taken to Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center in stable condition. Apparently HCSO investigated the accident and did not believe the ambulance driver was at fault: reportedly the ambulance's emergency lights were operating.
