A field in Texas City just outside Houston is currently displaying 1,547 American flags, one for each person killed in a drunk driving accident in Texas in 2011, the last year that statistics are available. According to the Bay Area Council on Drugs & Alcohol, which is sponsoring the "Healing Field," Texas leads the nation in alcohol-related traffic deaths, and Houston tops the State of Texas. The statistics of 1,547 deaths in 2011 equates to more than four people killed EACH DAY in drunk driving accidents in Texas. You can read about the Healing Field on FOX News Houston's web site.
