A man was killed and his 58-year old female passenger injured and hospitalized after a motorcycle accident last night around 11:15 p.m. Witnesses say a motorcycle was speeding southbound on Bingle Road when it failed to make a turn at Emnora Lane, causing the driver to hit and the curb and mount the sidewalk when he lost control of the motorcycle. Both the rider and the passenger were flipped off the bike and slid on the roadway: neither were wearing crash helmets. Police say the driver died at the scene; the passenger was transported to hospital in critical condition.
