A female pedestrian suffered severe leg injuries when she was pinned between a reversing Mercedes sedan and a tow truck outside a Houston grocery store. Harris County Sheriff's Office say the Mercedes was new to the woman driving it and she wasn't familiar with the car: she put the car in reverse and hit the gas, then lost control and struck several parked cars before crashing into and pinning the pedestrian. Another woman walking out of the grocery store was also hit. Sergeant Mike Harvey with HCSO told Channel 2 that the Mercedes driver was not hurt and voluntarily gave a blood sample which will be tested for drugs or alcohol. The pedestrian was rushed to the medical center and immediately taken in to surgery.
