Deadly car accident involving Waller ISD school bus

A driver died in a Wednesday morning collision between a sedan and a Waller ISD bus. The accident happened around 6:20 a.m. on FM 2920 at Becker Road. A green-colored sedan, possibly a Honda Accord, crashed into the back of the school bus as the bus was stopped to collect some children at their stop. The sedan went under the rear of the school bus: the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The children on the bus and the driver were not hurt. Channel 2's story can be read here.

Police estimate the Honda Accord was traveling approximately 50 MPH
when it struck the rear of the school bus.

There was no indication the driver of the car, a man in his 20's, touched
his brakes before impact. Neighbors said they felt the impact in their homes.
