Around 3:30 this morning an 18-wheeler hit one side of the freeway at the I-10 and I-45 split in Houston then jack-knifed, slid across to the other side of the freeway and crashed near the Taylor exit. A heavy duty wrecker came to the scene to remove the badly damaged big rig. It was raining at the time of the accident, and the driver told Channel 13 News that he lost control. Fortunately the driver and his passenger do not appear to have been injured and no other vehicles were involved.
